I just arrived home from the album launch of gospel musician Mary Agyemang in Kumasi only to receive this sad news.

My phone has been off for about three hours and the first message I had from members of my whatsapp group, “Zionfelix.com” after I switched it on is that dancehall musician Vybrant Faya is dead. I did not believe until one of the members sent a screenshot of the whatsapp status of Mr. Logic, his manager. After surfing online about the truth of the musician’s death, I saw that abrantepa.com had reported the sad news stating that Mr. Logic confirmed the death of  the musician when speaking to them.

I’m still shocked because I never thought of hearing any bad news like this today, October 23 after attending a successful album launch.

Vybrant Faya is popularly known for his hit single “Mampi”. I met Vybrant Faya real name Emmanuel Kojo Quayson when he came to the studios of Radio Universe 105.7 FM in February last year for an interview.
