Professor Kwamena Ahwoi who has authored variously on Ghana’s decentralization system, says a referendum seeking to amend the constitution to allow political parties to sponsor candidates in assembly elections is completely unnecessary. Ghana signs 6-nation visa waiver for diplomatic & ordinary passports users

Ghanaians who hold ordinary passports and diplomatic passports can now travel to India, Iran, Colombia, Equatorial Guinea, Hungary, and Morocco without Visa, MyNewsGh.com has learned. Parliament approved the visa waiver deal on Friday before MPs took a weekend break. Minister of Foreign Affairs submitted the paperwork to parliament for approval. This comes after South Africa’s Department of Home Affairs added Ghana to a list of seven countries whose nationals will be permitted to enter South Africa visa-free.
