Unusual Summer Rain: Is God Crying On Jerusalem?

For a stone shall cry out from the wall, And a rafter shall answer it from the woodwork.” Habakkuk 2:11 (The Israel Bible™) Rain in Jerusalem (Photo: Miriam Alster/Flash90) A remarkably unseasonal downpour drenched parts of Israel,  leading many Jews to turn their eyes to heaven in search of understanding: was this a blessing or perhaps the opposite. As Joshua Wander watched the rain fall on the Temple Mount, the conclusion he came to was decidedly uncomfortable. Israel is an arid country with about 70 percent of the average rain falling between November and March. June through August are often rainless. This is reflected in the daily prayers in which the prayer for rain is inserted at the end of the autumnal holiday of Sukkoth and continues until the spring holiday of Passover.

“At length, Yosef said to his brothers, “I am about to die. Hashem will surely take notice of you and bring you up from this land to the land that He promised on oath to Avraham, to Yitzchak, and to Yaakov.” Genesis 50:24 (The Israel Bible™) Joseph’s Tomb, early 1900’s. (Photo: Wikimedia Commons) An estimated 6,000 Jews made an overnight visit to Joseph’s Tomb on Thursday, the anniversary of the Biblical character’s death. The gathering was carried out under heavy guard by the IDF since the site is located on the outskirts of the Arab dominated city of Shechem. Dozens of Arabs rioted as the convoy of buses and military vehicles entered the city. The area is in Samaria, a region conquered by Israel in the 1967 Six-Day War and thought the city came under Palestinian Authority

The researchers involved in the project hope it will be a scientific Noah’s Ark, enabling scientists to study species after they have gone extinct. Some scientists are less impressed by the project. Dr. Nathan Aviezer, a physics professor at Bar Ilan University who is a learned and devout Jew, emphasized that as the science of genetics

Why Do So Many Christians Believe The Temple Wasn’t on the Temple Mount?

“In the days to come, The Mount of Hashem’s House Shall stand firm above the mountains And tower above the hills; And all the nations Shall gaze on it with joy.” Isaiah 2:2 (The Israel Bible™) A model of the second Holy Temple (Photo: Shutterstock.com) A once thoroughly debunked theory that the two Jewish Temples did not stand on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem is currently gaining traction in the Christian world. A new “Cry for Zion” video explains why we know the Temples were on the Temple Mount and that it is essential for Christians to connect with the Jews’ holiest site. Cry for Zion, a nongovernmental organization of Jews and Christians advocating Jewish rights to the Temple Mount, features Doron Keidar, the founder of Cry for Zion, and John Enarson, the organization’s

“And thou shalt put the whole upon the hands of Aharon, and upon the hands of his sons; and shalt wave them for a wave-offering before the LORD. And thou shalt take them from their hands, and make them smoke on the altar upon the burnt-offering, for a sweet savour before the LORD; it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.” Exodus 29:24-25 (The Israel Bible™) image: https://www.breakingisraelnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/20180401_013010_HDR-1.jpg Preparing the barley for the Omer Offering (Photo courtesy Adam Propp) As Passover ended on Saturday night, dozens of men, women, and children went out to the fields to harvest barley, not as a reenactment, but as a real Temple-related Passover ceremony.
