Oppong Boanuh appointed Deputy IGP in latest police command changes

The police administration has reshuffled some of its Director Generals and filled the vacant position of Deputy Inspector General of Police (IGP) in the Command Structure. Graphic Online has gathered that the current Director General of Administration, Commissioner of Police (COP), Mr Oppong Boanuh has been appointed as the new Deputy IGP. The Deputy IGP position which is part of the Police Service Regulations under C.I. 76, has been vacant for many years. Since the last Deputy IGP, Mohammed Alhassan was promoted as IGP, the Deputy IGP position has continued to remain vacant until now. Information Graphic Online has picked up indicates that other Director Generals who have been reshuffled are COP, Mr Prosper K. Agblorh, who is moving to Legal and Prosecution as Director

Former Supreme Court judge Vincent Cyril Richard Arthur Charles Crabbe has died. The renowned judge also known as VCRAC Crabbe is reported to have died Friday morning after a short illness. He was 95. V.C.R.A.C. Crabbe was Special Commissioner to the 1968 Constitutional Commission; Legislative Draftsmen to the 1969 Constituent Assembly which drafted the 1969 Constitution of Ghana. Court orders forensic examination of Bishop Obinim’s signature

An Accra Circuit Court has ordered Bishop Daniel Obinim, the Founder of God’s Way International Church, to give samples of his signature for forensic examination. The Police are also to make available Obinim’s signature on the Police statement tendered in court in order to ascertain whether he signed it or not. The family of late Kofi Annan , former United Nations’ Secretary-General, has officially confirmed the death of their beloved but has asked for privacy to mourn him. “The family kindly requests privacy at this time of mourning,” a statement from his foundation stated. The former UN Secretary-General passed away today, Saturday, August 20187 after a short illness at a Hospital in the Swiss city of Bern. Former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan has died. The Ghanaian died at a hospital in Switzerland, Saturday morning after short illness, former Deputy Health Minister Dr Victor Bampoe confirmed it to Joy News. He was 80.
