Written by | May 9, 2019 | 0
Save Your Eyes From The Summer Strain The early onset of summer and to such sudden extremities is not a very welcome change for anyone. Hot winds, scorching sun, sweaty palms, and wet clothes take a toll on everyone’s health in various manners. After our skin, our eyes remain the most exposed organs to deal with the direct impact of this increased heat. Either due to tiny dust particles, hot temperature radiations, dirty palms rubbed near the eye areas, too bright sights or just sweat going down the eyes; redness, frequent squinting, and itching of our eyes very commonly announce the arrival of summers. Impacting our extremely sensitive sense organs, summer almost becomes a season of eye diseases. Hence, it becomes extremely important to prevent and save your eyes from any discomfort during

If, then, you obey the commandments that I enjoin upon you this day, loving Hashem your God and serving Him with all your heart and soul, I will grant the rain for your land in season, the early rain and the late. Deuteronomy 11:13 (The Israel Bible™) A view of the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) from Mt. Arbel. (Credit: Shutterstock) Prayers for rain seemed to have been answered this week as the heavens over Israel opened up this week bringing much needed rain to the drought-stricken region. Beginning on Tuesday and continuing steadily for two days, the heavy rains were accompanied by falling temperatures. Most of the rain fell in the north, revitalizing the Sea of Galilee (Kinneret) the main source of Israel’s drinking water. The level of the Kinneret on Wednesday was recorded at 214.24

Humans Didn’t Outsmart Neanderthals, We Just Outlasted Them

Neanderthal extinction may well have been a function of population dynamics, not inferiority. IAIN MASTERTON/GETTY IMAGES/CANOPY We modern humans feel pretty smug about Neanderthals. It’s the story winners often tell themselves about losers: They couldn’t cut the mustard, they weren’t smart or tough or adaptable enough. To us survivors, there is a moral to the Neanderthals’ story: We’re still here because we played the game better, worked harder, made fewer mistakes. The Neanderthals were obviously not very smart since they went extinct. But why do we think that? In science, there’s this concept called parsimony — the idea that the simplest explanation that fits the evidence is the one that’s probably correct. And evidence that Neanderthals
