Ghanaian highlife singer, Bisa Kdei whose real name is Ronald Kweku Dei Appiah buried his late mother Josephine Bruce at Gbawe Cemetery in Accra on Saturday, October 31. After the burial service of the late Josephine was an event organised for well-wishers of the deceased and family to say their final goodbye to her.
The funeral service which happened at the Saint Lutheran Church, Palas Town in Accra had had many Ghanaians attending the event.
Bisa Kdei who recently released his new single “Brother Brother” was not left to bury his mother alone. His colleagues in the entertainment industry joined him to lay to rest his mother. Most of the known faces spotted at the funeral grounds were from the music and movie industry. Some of them were Bandex who represented GHAMRO, Obrafour, Funny Face, 5Five, Keche, Sister Afia, Emelia Brobbey, Kwaw Kese, Benedicta Gafah, Becca and many others.
The stars who were a the funeral to support the musician took the center stage to show off their talent. Funny Face during the event joined the “Kete” to exhibit his dancing moves.
The event also had performances from musician turned movie director, Kobi Rana. Kobi Rana performed several gospel songs to generate funds at the funeral grounds.
Other members of the defunct Bisa group also attended the funeral to support their brother, Bisa Kdei.
The late Josephine Bruce died on Wednesday August 19 at the Cocoa Clinic at North Kaneshie in Accra at age 57, leaving behind eight children including Bisa Kdei.
